Jim Menick said...: According to the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (via Wikipedia), a novelette is between 7,500 and 17,499 words, and a novella is between 17,500 and 40,000 words. Under those, the short story, and above them, the novel.; April 25, 2011 at 12:09 PM
